National Right-to-Life March in
Washington, D.C.
Approximately 40 students traveled to Washington D.C. in January of
2000 for the first St. Lawrence participation in the Right-to-Life March.
In 2002 the number of students participating in the march increased
to over 100. This annual trip offers students an opportunity to demonstrate
in a real way their support of the Catholic Church's teaching on the
dignity of all human life. It also provides students with the opportunity
to build a small group community dedicated to supporting the pro-life
cause. Time in Washington D.C. is also spent in service with the Missionaries
of Charity and St. Ann's Infant and Maternity home, and attending the
Life Mass at the Bascilica.
