Priests | Outreach | Education | Music & Liturgy | Development | Administration PriestsCenter Director, Fr. Vince KrischeFr. Vince is responsible for the implementation of the vision and the
mission of St. Lawrence campus ministry. He serves as the liaison between
the Center and the University; the Center and the Archdiocese and the
pastors of the Archdiocesan parishes. He provides the vision and direction
for the Student Advisory Council, Advisory Council, Parents Council,
the Budget Committee, Campaign Committee, and all areas related to development
and the annual fund. He provides Sacramental Preparation and Pastoral
needs for students and university-related people. Associate Director, Fr. John SchmeidlerFr. John has a degree in Education from St. Louis University, and a
Masters of Divinity from the Aquinas Institute. He helps with the sacramental
and spiritual life of the Center. In addition, he celebrates Mass and
reconciliation with the students, coordinates retreats, prepares students
for the Sacrament of Confirmation and prepares couples for marriage.
Fr. John also coordinates the adoration schedule for the students. OutreachOutreach Director, Linda SmithLinda is a KU graduate with an undergraduate and Masters degree in
Theatre. Linda began working at St. Lawrence eight years ago as the
part-time Coordinator for the Religious Education Program for children.
She has worked full time since 1998. Linda oversees the outreach activities
of the Center which include the social justice programs, service trips,
social and leadership programs, and peer mentors. EducationCatechetical Institute Director, Mike ScherschligtMIke is Director of the Catechetical Institute at St. Lawrence. Mike
prepares students to be certified catechists at St. Lawrence and their
home parishes. He has a Masters in Theology and a Licentiate in Sacred
Theology. Director of Theological Studies, Troy HinkelTroy, a native of Denver, Colorado, has a Master of Arts degree in
Theology and Christian Ministry from Franciscan University in Steubenville,
Ohio. He is married with five children. For four years he has directed
and taught our Young Catholic Scholars theological formation program
and student professional groups. Family Life/RCIA Director, Brian DonelsonBrian is a teacher with Masters degrees in Education and Theology. He has a wife and two children. He works with RCIA, Marriage Preparation, and also teaches in the Catechetical Institute. Evangelization Coordinator, Matt KemnitzMatt coordinates student-led, faith-sharing groups, develops direct evangelization strategies, and is a teaching assistant for the Catechetical Institute. He has a B.A. in German and Telecommunications, and did some graduate work in German at KU. In addition, he attended St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity where he studied Theology. Matt was involved at the Center as a graduate student teaching Confirmation classes and as a former Social Justice Outreach Minister. Music & LiturgyInterim Director of Music, Lisa RoushLisa, a graduate of Benedictine College, serves as the assistant to
the director of music. She is one of the chapel organists and the accompanist
for the choir. She prepares the liturgy guide and petitions, assists
in the preparation and scheduling of cantors, and assists in music planning
and preparation. Lisa has also been the organist for the REACH Mass,
and is the project coordinator for the Midwestern Catholic Youth Chorale
(MCYC), which is the summer high school choir camp hosted by St. Lawrence.
Lisa has been working at St. Lawrence since Spring of 1999 when she
started as assistant organist. Back to TopDevelopmentDirector of Institutional Advancement, John FlynnJohn is responsible for development and fundraising for the St. Lawrence
Catholic Campus Center. John is a graduate of the University of Kansas
and a St. Lawrence alum. He was active in the Knights of Columbus and
a participant in the Spring Break Alternative program. He has been a
member of the St. Lawrence staff since June of 1994. Annual Giving Coordinator, Kim TiffanyKim is a 1997 graduate of KU with a B.A. in Anthropology. She will
graduate in May '03 with a Masters Degree in Museum Studies. After a
short period working as an associate editor for a local publishing company,
Kim joined the Center in 1999. She is responsible for maintaining and
updating the Center's benefactor database, and coordinating the many
details associated with the HawkTalk Phone-a-thon and the Center's mail
appeals. Kim also assists the Financial Coordinator in processing contributions
to the Center and writes grant proposals. Marketing and Special Events Coordinator, Anita SmithAnita is a graduate of KU with a B.S. in Journalism. She has over 12
years of experience in marketing and advertising. Anita coordinates
all marketing activities for the Center including printed materials,advertising,
press releases and special events. She designs and writes material for
numerous brochures, invitations and assorted mailings. In addition,
she coordinates all aspects of planning, volunteer recruitment, finances
and execution for our special events such as our Swing into Spring golf
tournament, and the Divine WineFest. Administrative Assistant, Nancy KrischeNancy Krische, a KU grad, is the administrative assistant to Fr. Vince, Center Director, and John Flynn, Director of Institutional Advancement. Nancy was a permanent community member and choir member while working for KU in the College of Liberal Arts. Nancy’s degree is in Speech-Language-Hearing. AdministrationFinancial Coordinator, Cris DenningCris is responsible for the Center's general accounting, computer systems,
employee benefits and payroll. She is a KU graduate with a degree in
Business Administration. Cris has been with the Center since 1998. Receptionist, Sr. Marcella Schrant, OSUSr. Marcella is a graduate of Mount St. Scholastica with a B.S. in
Education, and a minor in Theology. She taught grades 1-8 at different
times over a period of 43 years. She was Superior of the Ursuline community
for 4 years. Sr. Marcella has been a member of the St. Lawrence staff
since 1994. She compiles the weekly bulletin and performs various tasks
while greeting visitors at the front desk. |
